Unless you live under a legitimate rock somewhere, you probably have at least heard that Taylor Swift’s latest album Lover has dropped and is carpeted wall-to-wall with fat pop bops. And true to form, I relate to a lot of it (not the cutesy love stuff though, I haven’t been nearly that fortunate yet).
When I say I relate heavily, I’m talking about songs like “The Archer” and “Miss Americana & The Heartache Prince”, for example, because they both depict issues surrounding bullying, feeling alone, and toxic school culture. They also touch on how easy it to get down on yourself about life and various other struggles that you really just have to hear to understand.
I also relate heavily to “I Forgot That You Existed” because I’m also trying DESPERATELY to forget about someone who meant the world to me even though it clearly wasn’t mutual since I keep getting ghosted for literally no reason and I’m just #DONE. LOL I guess that came out a bit more bitter than I intended for my blog, oh well.
I guess I should just spare you the rambling and let you read my article, available HERE: http://www.bostonsportsdesk.com/taylor-swifts-new-album-lover-is-a-heartfelt-foray-into-her-newfound-happiness/
But more relative to my latest book in progress, it all lines up with my story about messed-up middle school dynamics and growing up in the shadow of a past filled with pain and loneliness. It’s been super emotional to write and I’m so excited for you to get to read it too, but I just have no idea when that will happen. Ideally, maybe early 2020 (since you know what they say about hindsight…).
I’ll keep you posted, thank you for always reading this far even if I barely make any sense sometimes. And if you’d like, you can access my young adult books on Amazon HERE: https://www.amazon.com/Angelina-Singer/e/B0743ZF23N/ref=dp_byline_cont_book_1
