Thursday, my new book, Forgetting What I Couldn’t Remember, will be in your hands. How crazy is that? Wild, I know. I started this concept back in junior year of college, about two years ago, in my playwriting class. Oddly enough, my professor for that class was an ex-blue man group member (and although those skills didn’t directly translate, he was so much fun to learn from).
I wrote a ten-minute play, which has since morphed into the first chapter of FWICR, and I’ll probably post that here once the weeks after the launch are underway. Either way, this book is coming to you THURSDAY, 2/20/20. It’s easily my most personal story yet, but it’s a strangely liberating feeling to know that you’ll get to read it in full VERY soon. ALSO how cool is this cover?!?!? I’m still obsessed with it, LOL. It was designed by the extremely talented Gracie Knight, younger sister of frontman extraordinaire Awsten Knight of the band Waterparks!

I keep reflecting back on what this book means to me, and right now, at this point in my life, this story is a fresh start. Like Vera, I’m ready to put my past behind me. But that being said, it’s hard to get past old scars without first exploring what caused them in the first place – which is exactly what Vera hopes to accomplish by traveling back in time. And yes, there will be ONE sequel. Read this one first though!
