“You Don’t Suck You’re Just Stuck” – Rhode Island ComicCon Recap and Author Panel

It’s the Tuesday after a crazy ComicCon weekend, and let me tell you – I am absolutely exhausted. It’s an incredibly fun weekend, but between setting up my table every day, chatting with lots of cool people, and even speaking on a panel about writer’s block, my brain is absolutely fried. I found myself trying to get people’s attention all weekend by asking if they enjoy stories similar to Hunger Games or Divergent, since my stories definitely have strong thematic similarities to those dystopian styles. But it was all very exciting and rewarding, and speaking on a panel alongside my fellow authors was probably one of the highlights of the weekend. The panel was tongue-in-cheek titled “You don’t suck, you’re just stuck” by the amazing Tabitha Lord, but the ComicCon made her change it I guess lol. You can watch the recording of the writer’s panel HERE.

However, that’s not to say that it isn’t worth the exhaustion, because I promise you – it is. I got to spend three full days meeting cool people in fantastic costumes, chat with my fellow authors in the Association of Rhode Island Authors, and even see some of my friends stop by to support me. It’s just an incredibly cool melding of the minds and creative ideas, which you can’t find anywhere else. And the energy in that building is tangibly electric – overall just a place filled with magic and imagination.

Now I’m home organizing my inventory, and I’ve just randomly chosen a raffle winner to win the entire Upperworld Series. Stay tuned for updates on that! And if you haven’t yet signed up to my mailing list, you can do that HERE. I’m also on Facebook and Instagram @angelinasingerauthor – feel free to follow me there as well if you’d like!

I am always so grateful for all the support from readers at ComicCon, and I look forward to it every year! And thank you, for following my blog and my readerly adventures. There is much more on the way that I can’t wait to share with you!

NEW BOOK UPDATE: My current work-in-progress is now being evaluated by an independent publisher, and I’ll probably hear back within the next couple weeks if they decide to collaborate with me or not. I’ll keep you posted on that – once it’s ironed out either way, I’m sure I’ll be looking for beta readers. if that would interest you, just let me know 🙂
