Rhode Island ComicCon begins TOMORROW and I’m #tooblessedtobestressed

Books. Reading. Costumes. Meet and greets. More books. Book signings. Panels. Coffee? I don’t drink coffee though. Maybe I should start. Tablecloths. Signage. More books? Book cards.

Packing for a three-day event is never a straightforward process.

I’ll be honest with you, it’s actually pretty exhausting most of the time! In this case, I will be returning home every night, so I could potentially grab more books if I need them. But it’s easiest to plan ahead and leave most of the stuff there so I’m not hauling it back and forth for three days. Point of this rant? ComicCon is the most exhausting fun I’ve ever had.

This particular year, I’ve been under a significant amount of stress

since I’m a recent college grad still looking for writing jobs, as well as juggling another side business (my crocheted art page on Instagram @asinger320). Plus with my book deal hopefully in the works, and my various other endeavors, my brain is tapped out. Seriously. I just napped like all afternoon even though I slept in later. I even had to cancel plans with a friend that I really wanted to keep in favor of healing my burnt-out psyche, which further stressed me out.

But you know what?

I don’t give a flying fig. ComicCon is the biggest author event I participate in all year. It’s pretty much the big leagues for a little indie author like me because the crowds are massive and the imaginative minds and creative costumes are many. This is a magical three days full of fascinating people and fun conversations, and there is nothing I love more than meeting my readers at events like this. I’ll be posting all my photos from the days, so please check out my author Instagram @angelinasingerauthor and give it a follow if you feel like it.

I’m also doing an EXCLUSIVE RAFFLE at ComicCon this year (just like last year).

IMG_6129If you sign up for my mailing list at my table, I’ll enter you into a prize drawing to win a COMPLETE SET OF THE UPPERWORLD SERIES, signed especially for you! Yep, pretty cool right? You can check that out on Amazon ahead of time if you’d like to see what you’d be getting: The Upperworld Series

I’ve also been invited to speak on an AUTHOR PANEL Sunday November 3rd at 3pm

talking all about how to cope with Writer’s Block. This is a first for me, as I’ve never been a part of a panel this prestigious at ComicCon. It’s pretty wild, honestly, and I’m still in shock I get to do this. If you’re around on Sunday, come check it out! These sorts of panels are usually pretty casual, and there should be opportunities for audience engagement as well! I’m just honored to be invited to take part in this, and can’t wait to share my insights with the crowd.

So overall, pretty exciting stuff right? I’ll be at Rhode Island ComicCon all this weekend, November 1-3, and I really hope to see you there.

Thank you for all your continued support!

Love,
