On a separate note, my current work in progress is getting down the the wire – I’m basically just writing the ending now. It’s at about 85k words, and I anticipate it to get to about 100k. This story is extremely personal to me, and I can’t wait to share it with the world! Once I finish drafting it, I’ll reveal the title. It’s going to be so fun sharing bits and pieces of my newest release with you guys, so stay tuned for that! I can tell you that it will be a YA time travel thriller.
And lastly, I got to see Avril Lavigne play live last night at her Boston show. Yep, I’m still in disbelief too, tbh. It was an incredible show, and I was lucky enough to nab press passes since I’m a concert correspondent for the Boston Sports Desk. Her music has always been a big part of my creative process, so seeing her live really rejuvenated my mind and now I feel so ready to get back to writing my latest book. I relate probably the most heavily to “My Happy Ending” and “Girlfriend” of her older songs, and maybe “Head Above Water” off her newest album of the same name.
