DOPE author portraits of me and my writer friends!

Hello readers,

I hope all is well for you! I’m jumping on here to show off this AMAZING portrait of me and my author friends. We’re long-distance pals but surprisingly close emotionally despite that unfortunate fact, and one of us is an incredibly gifted illustrator who did these portraits of us just because! She’s actually going to send me a print of it and I’m going to hang it on my wall because it’s JUST SO GOOD, isn’t it?!?!

Basically, these guys are pretty much the ones that pick me up by my bootstraps when I’m feeling overwhelmed or just generally exhausted with post-grad life anxieties. I love them more than words can express and thank God for them continuously. The thing about this author gig, is that it’s pretty solitary. Unless you have a support group, it’s near impossible to stay focused and keep a healthy mindset. That’s why I’m convinced that I wouldn’t be continuing to pursue publishing if I didn’t have other people my age to talk to who are pursuing the same thing.
