Hello readers! I hope you had an amazing Fourth of July with your friends and family this past weekend. I actually spent my holiday in Maine with my family and surprisingly didn’t get a horrendous sunburn for once, although weird tan lines were a definite threat (pro tip: do NOT wear excessively ripped jeans on vacation no matter how *edgy* you are. It ain’t worth it, sunshine).
Okay, so back to business:
The audiobook for book one of The Upperworld Series, The Sorting Room, is currently under review by ACX which I heard can take 10-14 days. I’ll keep you posted on that but now you know as much as I do. Additionally, my voice actor will be starting book 2, The Fall of Zephyr, any day now. So we are rolling through these pretty fast, and I bet all three books will be ready for your ears sometime this Fall. Very exciting stuff! I’ve taken a bit of a break from drafting my current WIP – mostly due to the holiday weekend, my multiple side-hustles, and the glaringly obvious fact that I probably will need to adjust some of my character names to sound less like, uh, real people. That’s a long story and you’ll get to hear a lot of it in coded form once my yet-to-be titled YA time travel story is published ideally by the end of this year, or at least maybe early 2020. Im about a quarter of the way through draft one, and the tone is sassy. I love it and I hope you will too.
