Here’s the synopsis:

To ameliorate the situation at hand, Griffin and Evander suggest a potential solution – and the answer just might lie in Onyx’s past. After constructing a time machine, Griffin journeys back to Earth year 1790, when Onyx’s mother lived in Puritan America and conceived him. By watching her closely, there is a small chance that he might be able to pinpoint the exact moment when her choices deviated from the master plan – and those coordinates just might have the power to set Onyx free. Will Onyx be able to tolerate being imprisoned long enough for Griffin to save him?
